History

The Wesleyan Bible Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma was founded in June 1988. WBC called Reverend Terry D. Going as the first pastor in 1988. Early on, the congregation met in a storefront building on Peoria near 66th St. WBC then called Reverend Richard L. Gremillion as its second pastor in 1989. The church was able to purchase property on South 33rd West Avenue and to build a multi-purpose building in 1993. Eventually a sanctuary building was constructed in 2003. WBC called Reverend Timothy P. Linick as the third pastor in 2009. In early 2011, Wesleyan Bible Church and Bible Fellowship Church completed a reunification process seeking to more effectively minister to the West Tulsa community. During the summer of 2014, WBC extended a pastoral call to Reverend Michael Yancey and his family. They accepted and are the current pastoral family at Wesleyan Bible Church.
